Are there any other things about your work that might interest people?
I have been working on a particular fabric, “Brocade,” which originates from China and Japan, and I feel it as luxurious fabric, with a much more natural texture than working on canvas. I am trying to find a more contemporary way to produce my abstract art, and part of that is trying different materials to work with.
Are there any themes that you try to communicate through your work?
My paintings are very layered. I tend to be inspired by architecture, especially skylines. I started this kind of artwork from having inspired by skylines like the London skyline, for example. I also get inspired by the local landscape and buildings.

I also try to diffuse imagery from imaginary worlds with imagery from the natural world, and from there, I leave people to experience my work and come up with their own interpretations.
How are you developing your artistic career?
While I was studying, there was very little time left to paint. After December 2024, once I had completed my studies, I started to paint again, and I was able to exhibit my work in London at SB Art Gallery. I have also been offered mentorships for my business. I signed up to Go Succeed, and I was helped by that organisation. I started out selling my paintings at the arts markets in Banana Block in east Belfast. I have organised workshops where I can show people how to produce art, working as an arts facilitator.

I had a Home Residency with Digital Arts Studios, and I am a professional member of Visual Arts Ireland and Catalyst Arts. I’m also a Co-Director of Platform Arts Belfast and I work as an Art curator. I have exhibited my work internationally in Greece, Dubai, Rome, Venice, Lecce, London, Belfast, and Pakistan.
Where to now?
I just like to work as hard as I can, and I hope that the plan the universe has for me will work out well. I have had a wonderful journey so far, and I am hoping that it will continue.
