Multi-award-nominated Hello Charlie by Derry playwright Caoimhe Farren, presented as part of Belfast International Arts Festival, follows sisters Maeve and Kate, who have fled their traumatic past in Derry for London. Maeve drinks herself into oblivion, while stoic Kate watches history repeat itself. But Maeve blames her drunken alter-ego, Charlie, for the chaos. A laugh-out-loud dark comedy about addiction, guilt and sisterhood, Hello Charlie is a fearless and fiercely original new voice in Irish theatre.
