4 Week Bow Sewing Workshop – starts 18 Nov

Create your own oversized, reversible patchwork bow – a statement decoration for your front door, fireplace, staircase or Christmas tree.

In this hands-on sewing workshop, you’ll combine beautiful fabrics, patchwork and personal details to create a unique bow that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Choose from a curated collection of florals, ginghams, seasonal prints and timeless textures, or bring along fabric from a loved one’s clothing to make a truly personal keepsake.

With two different fabric designs, your bow can be styled on either side, giving you two looks in one handmade creation.

What you’ll learn

  • Patchwork design: How to combine fabric colours, prints and textures to create a balanced, eye-catching design.
  • Patchwork construction: How to cut fabric pieces accurately, piece them together and press seams for a professional finish.
  • Shape and structure: How to prepare and stabilise your fabric so your oversized bow holds its shape beautifully.
  • Sewing and construction: How to create the bow loops, long decorative tails and centre band using your sewing machine.
  • Making it reversible: How to choose coordinating fabrics and construct both sides neatly, so the bow looks beautiful from either direction.
  • Personalisation: Add a name, meaningful word or date with hand embroidery, or explore other personal touches to make your bow unique.
  • Finishing touches: Learn how to finish your bow neatly and add a secure hanging loop so it’s ready to display.
