About Belfast TradFest
Belfast Summer School of Traditional Music, trading as Belfast TradFest, is one of Ireland’s leading traditional music organisations, delivering world-class festivals, concerts and educational programmes.
Our flagship Belfast TradFest Summer Festival and Summer School, alongside St Patrick’s Music Festival Belfast and a year-round programme of events, celebrate Irish and Ulster-Scots musical traditions while embracing new ideas, collaborations and audiences.
In 2026, Belfast TradFest welcomed over 90,000 attendees across approximately 700 events, featuring more than 1,500 artists. The summer festival alone generated an estimated £2.2 million in economic impact, attracted visitors from 39 countries, achieved 9.7 million social media views and generated £2.9 million in media value.
Based in Belfast, a UNESCO City of Music, we are helping establish the city as an internationally recognised destination for traditional music, cultural tourism and creative experiences.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and imaginative Creative Marketing Manager to join our small, ambitious and collaborative team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines marketing expertise with communications, strong graphic design skills, creative flair and a deep understanding of traditional arts and culture.
Working closely with the Artistic Director, Co-Director and wider team, the successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, graphic design, festival publications, digital communications, audience engagement and website management.
More than a traditional marketing position, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the creative vision, programming and audience experience of our festivals and Summer School. We welcome fresh perspectives, imaginative ideas and a willingness to participate in the creative conversations that shape our programmes.
The Creative Marketing Manager will have support from administrative staff who assist with timeintensive tasks such as event listings, routine website updates, database administration and content scheduling. External specialists in PR, photography, videography, design and print are also engaged as required. Overall responsibility for website management and content remains with the Creative Marketing Manager.
We are committed to supporting the successful candidate’s professional development through mentoring, upskilling and bespoke in-house training with experienced creative professionals, including opportunities to develop specialist design and digital skills.
