The Rural Heritage Summer School is for community and heritage practitioners working and living within rural communities in Northern Ireland. It’s a three day residential based in the Sperrin Mountains that aims to:
- Provide rural community and heritage practitioners an opportunity to learn about the heritage that lies in these mountains
- Time for curiosity and exploration for rural practitioners
- Opportunities for relationship building and networking
- Learn about what other rural communities are exploring and delivering in their rural place
Each day you will meet individuals and organisations that are delivering fantastic heritage and community initiatives, who will share their learnings, challenges and how they connect heritage to place. We will be joined by several organisations and individuals including Quarto, Ulster Architectural Heritage, Butterlope Farm, Mellon Centre for Migration Studies, Glasgowbury, Sperrin’s Partnership and OM Dark Sky.
