Providing a venue for a diverse range of poetic voices from across the North, the Seamus Heaney Awards for New Writing, at which I read in 2024/5, have become a much enjoyed, keenly anticipated, event in the South Derry cultural calendar. Many thanks to the Community Arts Partnership, their enthusiasm and industry play a pivotal role in the promotion of local poetry; long may their stalwart work continue.
