The Head of Literature and Drama at the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Damian Smyth, was part of this year’s Children’s Literature Festival at Seamus Heaney Centre.

The panel consisted of Children’s Writing Fellows for Northern Ireland past and present. The Children’s writing fellow is a partnership between Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queens University Belfast to honour the great poet’s legacy and to highlight and celebrate the importance of writing for children and young people.
