And who are the members of the Cré Collective?
The members are, Danielle Morgan, Denise McAuley, Joanna Mules, Margaret Woods Moore, Alec Chambers, Sandra Kerr Gordon and me.
They all did the ceramics course and they have formed a core of 7 people in the collective. We have regular meetings and we have our Instagram account and an email address, so we are a functioning group.
Why did the Cré Collective decide on doing an exhibition during the Fleadh?
We are going to have our exhibition in Pigment Gallery on Sunnyside Street, just off the Ormeau Road, in South Belfast. The Tent City for the Fleadh will be in Ormeau Park. The Errigle Inn is one of the key venues, and we think there will be people looking for things to do in this area during the festival.
The Errigle Inn has been home to various arts collective meetings and the owners have been very supportive. There are other venues like The Commons which runs markets and arts clubs as well.
What will people see at the exhibition?
There will be ceramic sculptures, there will be prints and paintings. Some of us will be exhibiting material which will have a musical theme.
And when will that take place?
The launch is on Monday August 3rd at 6pm in The Pigment Gallery. The exhibition will run through until August 13th.
The exhibition is based on the idea of an Irish Session, and we are hoping to run workshops, water colours, ceramics, and we are hoping to have musical guests coming along as well.
