Outside It / Outside In – Call For Artists – closing 30 Oct

Outside In is a UK organisation that provides a platform for artists who encounter significant barriers to the art world due to health, disability, social circumstance, or isolation. It is an important and rare example of an organisation with national reach championing the work of artists excluded from the art world.

Following in the footsteps of this organization Outside In / Outside it exhibition is an open call to those artists in Northern Ireland who consider themselves – for whatever reason – as ‘outside’ of the more formal arts systems and wish their work to be exposed to a wider audience in a professional gallery setting.

The exhibition will be a group show of up to five artists and makers with different approaches to the materials they choose to work with.

R-Space Gallery would like to invite artists and makers based in Northern Ireland to submit work(s)

Proposals may also include a workshop or performance. Selected artists will receive a fee for taking part.

  • Deadline for submissions: Friday 30 October, 5pm
  • Exhibition Dates: 21 November 2026 – 18 December 2026
