This event brings artists, clinicians and writers together to help participants to think and talk about the long-term importance of the experiences with arts and culture, both recent and from earlier points in people’s lives.
While there might be an awareness of the short-term impact of a cultural object – how it makes people think or feel in the moment – people are usually unaware of how the ephemeral aspect of this experience stays with us and becomes part of us; the unconscious aspect of the experience in other words.
Speakers include artists Clare Gallagher, Brian Patterson, Allen Fatimaharan, Geralyn Mulqueen, Janet Healy, Ann Murphy and Niamh Callaghan.
