Belfast Circus is amongst the family of social circus schools in Ireland – using circus arts as a tool to create social change.
Based in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, we have been creating opportunities for people to experience, learn and perform circus for more than 40 years.
Founded in 1985 as Belfast Community Circus School, we have grown from our roots in community and youth circus to become an organisation working across circus education, social circus, professional artist development, performance and festivals.
Our work is creative, inclusive and ambitious, using the unique appeal of circus arts to entertain audiences, develop skills, build confidence and connection, and create opportunities for people and communities.
