The Belfast Philharmonic Choir led by music director Stephen Doughty, is Northern Ireland's only symphonic choir. The 120+ strong choir performs at least four programmes per year, many alongside the Ulster Orchestra, including performances of Handel's Messiah every Christmas - a tradition that goes back as far as 1886!
Founded in 2006 with support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Phil Kids and Phil Youth Choirs are unique choirs for young singers in Northern Ireland. Young people have the opportunity to sing weekly with a highly trained group, combining singing with games and musicianship training. There are four choirs, ranging in age from 8 to 20 years old.
