Highlights of the Poetry in Motion Schools 2017 event

On Tuesday 14th March 2017, nearly a thousand pupils from across Northern Ireland filled the Ulster Hall to watch and listen to the students who participated in Poetry in Motion Schools 2017.

At the end of the event, Class Donard 9 from Abbey Grammar School were presented with the Seamus Heaney Award for Achievement by Fionnuala Walsh from sponsor, Children in Need.

It was the last Poetry in Motion programme organised by LaVA coordinator Chelley McLear, who is very soon to move over the ocean. Next years’s event may just a gleam in the eye of Chelley’s successor, Jan Carson but for now, enjoy the highlights of the 2017 event.

The video was shot and edited by our very own This Is Me coordinator, Joanne Barnett.
