Participating Writers’ Groups

During October and November our poet facilitators will be working with Writers groups across the region as part of our Poetry in Motion Community 2014-15 project ‘Making Memories’. These workshops will culminate in a masterclass day on November 22nd in Belfast which will give all participants the opportunity to edit and polish their poems before making their submission.

Burnavon Writers

Burnavon Arts and Cultural Centre, Burn Road

Zion Writers’ Group, Lisburn

Holywood Writers

Holywood Library, High Street, Holywood.

Holywood writers meet every other Friday between 10.15am and 12.15pm (17th and 31st October, 14th and 28th November…). The group is open to new members and details are available in the library.


Ballyhackamore Writers

Ballyhackamore Writers meet on a Monday once a month at the Ballyhackamore Library from 6.45pm to 7.45pm. Contact the library for further details.


Fermanagh Writers

Shalom Writers

Membership is restricted to a maximum of 14. Applicants for membership are asked to send examples of their writing to the secretary Denis O’Sullivan at the library. The group meets on Thursday mornings from 10am-12 noon.
